2019 RDX U.S Pricing

Just wanted to share this breakdown of the pricing throughout trim levels. Base model with FWD starts at $37,300 plus an $995 destination charge. Pretty impressive that Acura has managed to deliver this thing fully spec'd for less than $50k, which significantly undercuts rivals.

I do think we're going to see a lot of interest in the new RDX, and its a safe bet that most people will be sold on the new powertrain once they take a test drive. There is increasing demand for AWD models these days, and I think Acura's system may be one of the best.

It helps that all it takes to have SH-AWD is to add another $2000 from the base model. Acura was smart in pricing all trims because it prime people for the upsell. I can already imagine how a sales associate will convince someone to upgrade to SH-AWD, in fact it might be a large part of pre-configured models.

Acura has proved the capability of the SH-AWD in older models, so I don't think its going to take much to sell current owners on the viability of the newly improved system. Do we think that there will be much a hit to fuel economy in the AWD models?

Overall with a number of models from brands like Subaru to higher end of the spectrum I have seen maybe a 2-5MPG difference. To buyers in this segment its not even a thought.

The small hit to fuel economy will be far outweighed by the improvements made to off the line acceleration and winter capability. As the CDX is getting a hybrid variant, I expect will see that offered on the RDX down the line as well.

That's being the case then Acura might need more hybrid models out there for more of a broader hybrid strategy.
If not then it could mean we end up with some mediocre hybrids. Only so much they can share with Honda.

Well the MDX has a sport hybrid variant as well, but I agree that only 4 models isn't nearly enough. The majority of their offerings are currently sedans, and with so much interest in crossovers and SUV's, they need to step up availability there as well.

Hoping I got a solid deal...most dealers not willing to dicker much on a newly released vehicle. My MSRP is at $46,795. Invoice is at $44,178. I am paying $43,250 plus TTT. It includes the mud guards, rear cargo tray and wheel locks.

I think it'll be tough to negotiate much below the MSRP, considering how new this model is. Seems like you got a couple of extras included as well.
