Hitch Pictures

Trailer hitch was installed recently. Acura here in Canada didn't have the kick sensor part when I picked up the new car.

Installed by Acura, hitch only no Light Harness.
1 1/4" tube, 1500 lbs towing, 150 lbs tongue weight.
The bike rack is for two bikes is 35 lbs with another 30 lbs with the extension.
Tailgate clears the rack on open, no bike on the rack.
Kick sensor is moved slightly left of center.

Have you had any issues getting the tailgate motion sensor to work? On other vehicles I've owned with it, it sometimes takes a bit of a dance to get it to register.

Not something I use but did test after the hitch was put on. Can't move your foot too fast. Needs to be a deliberate movement.

Will you just be using the hitch for a bike rack? I know the RDX doesn't have the greatest towing capacity.

ThirdX, what parts you have ordered? For my 2019 RDX with hands-free access, I ordered only two parts: Trailer Hitch 08L92-TJB-200 and Trailer Hitch Cover 08L92-TJB-200B and was a little disappointed when I got a package. The hitch cover came without any accessories (clips, screws, etc.). Do I have to ordered more stuff or clips, and screws can be reused? I addition, the installation instruction which I got from the AcuraZone, is saying to not reuse a hands free access unit but i'm not sure about this as well.

At 1500 LBS it won't be a barrier to anyone wanting to haul bicycles. At most an entire bike rack assembly with at least 3 bikes will use a coupe hundred pounds.

I have yet to order any sort of trailer hitches. Odds are that I'll go with a roof rack if I end up using the vehicle to haul stuff. Whereabouts did you order your hitch package from? I'd reach out to them if you didn't get all the required pieces for install.

living in the city I always found having a hitch whenever I can be to be a life saver, before I would arrive to my car some days to find scratches and dents and no note from the person who damaged it.
